On Monday, a San Bernardino County prosecutor has been disciplined for a series of offensive social media posts. The post includes rants about Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), former first lady Michelle Obama, Mexican immigrants and a police shooting victim.

Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem is placed on administrative leave while an investigation is in progress.

Selyem joined the DA’s office 12 years ago. He is the lead attorney in the Central Hardcore Gang Unit.

In one post, he described Waters as “Being a loud-mouthed c#nt in the ghetto you would think someone would have shot this bitch by now …”

He also doctored a picture of former First lady holding a sign that reads, “Trump grabbed my penis.”

In regard to the comments he made about the victim of a police shooting, it happened when he got into an argument about the incident. During the argument, he said, “That shitbag got exactly what he deserved. … You reap what you sow. And by the way go f— yourself you liberal shitbag.” It is unclear which police shooting Selyem was referring to.

He also posted a picture of a man wearing a large sombrero with a caption that read,  “Mexican word of the day: Hide.”

In another post, he criticized a Budweiser commercial writing, “I am all for white males immigrating here legally and starting a business. It is the terrorist a–holes sneaking in here wanting to kill me an[d] my family that I am opposed to.”

He added, “I cannot believe how shallow democrats are. They must really think people are stupid. I guess that is evident because they actually thought Hilary (sic) Clinton could win a presidential election… TWICE!!! LMFAO!!!”

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters was disparaged with offensive comments in this Facebook post by San Bernardino County gang prosecutor Michael Selyem.

The posts came to the attention of the DA’s office since June 25th, after someone in the office complained about them.

A statement by outgoing District Attorney Mike Ramos reads, “We have been made aware of the negative comments and they do not represent the views of the District Attorney’s Office. Since this is a personnel matter I cannot comment any further.”

Ramos added that Selyem faces the possibility of disciplinary action. He could also ultimately lose his job,
