On Thursday, former Mexican President Vicente Fox took to Twitter to put Trump in his place.
This happened after Trump reportedly referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations as “shithole countries” during an Oval Office meeting.
The White House did not deny Trump’s comment after The Washington Post published the story.
When asked to comment, White House spokesman Raj Shah stated, “Certain Washington politicians choose to fight for foreign countries, but President Trump will always fight for the American people”.
In his tweet, Fox asked, “@realDonaldTrump, your mouth is the foulest shithole in the world. With what authority do you proclaim who’s welcome in America and who’s not.”
He then went on to ask Trump about his own family’s immigrant history.

Fox continued, “America’s greatness is built on diversity, or have you forgotten your immigrant background, Donald?”

Trump is a son of a Scottish immigrant.
His mother was born in Scotland and came to New York City when she was 18. Also, two of his three wives, including his current wife and First Lady Melania Trump, are immigrants.
Fox has been a vocal critic of Trump since he has taken office, especially on Trump’s plan for the border wall between US and Mexico.
