Snoop Dogg’s new music video, “Lavender” (Nightfall Remix) ft. Kaytranada, which was released on Sunday, triggered outrage from Republicans.

Trump fans are now calling for a boycott of his music, some going as far as calling for his arrest on Twitter.

Marco Rubio gave his two cents on the matter, saying “Snoop shouldn’t have done that.”

“We’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is something people should be really careful about,” Rubio said. “I think people can disagree on policy, but we’ve got to be careful about that kind of thing because the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea and you could have a real problem. I’m not sure what Snoop was thinking. He should think about that.”

Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, also spoke out saying that Snoop owes Trump an apology. “It’s totally disgraceful. Snoop owes the president an apology,” Cohen said. “There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president, and I’m really shocked at him, because I thought he was better than that.”

The video portrays a world where everyone is a clown and a clown named Ronald Klump is the president.

In the video, Klump is holding a “Clown House” press conference, and it reads “Breaking News Ronald Klump wants to deport all doggs.”

Later in the video, Snoop is seen holding a toy gun to Klump’s head, and when he pulls the trigger, a “bang” flag pops out.

At the end of the video, Klump is seen wrapped in chains.

Snoop told Billboard, “The whole world is clownin’ around, and [Jesse’s] concept is so right on point with the art direction and the reality, because if you really look at some of these motherf–kers, they are clowns.”

He added, “I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this f–king clown as president, and the shit that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being.”
