On Friday, it was revealed in a Pentagon planning memo that Trump will get his military parade.
The parade is set for Veteran Days in Washington D.C. It will be in conjunction with the annual Veterans Day parade.
According to the memo, the parade will “include wheeled vehicles only, no tanks.” It continued and showed that it will also involve “a heavy air component.” Also, at the end, there will be a military aircraft flying overhead.

Even before the official announcement, there was a lot of opposition. According to a Military Times poll, a majority opposed the idea of a parade. The poll showed that 89% of participants responded with, “No, it’s a waste of money and troops are too busy.” This is compared to 11% who believed that it was a “great opportunity to show off U.S. military might.”
Now there is even more outrage as it was reported the parade will cost taxpayers up to $30 million.
Below are many reactions to the parade. Many are calling for the $30 million to help homeless veterans:
– Trump's Military Parade Costs: $30 Million
– Number of Homeless Veterans: 39,471
– Cost per meal for the Homeless: $1.93
$30 Million / 39,471 vets = $760.05 per vet
$760.05 / $1.93 = 393 meals per vet
Trump's parade could feed all of America's Homeless Vets 393 meals ea.

Welcome to the new world order. Where hungry and homeless veterans don’t matter as much as @realDonaldTrump “my dick is bigger than yours” parade. Will his constant thirst for attention ever be quenched? Disgusting. #ImpeachTrump #Resisthttps://t.co/IJvQFSq5s5

Our military is not a toy to prance around in Trump’s honor. What makes America Great is we are a beacon of freedom around the world, not a dystopian dictatorship. Rather than waste millions on the useless Military Parade take care of the 40,000 homeless veterans #SaturdayMorning

Did you hear that #Trump is going to spend up to $50 million on:
-additional resources for the VA
-military spouse support
-ending veteran homelessness
-prevention of veteran suicide
Me either. He’s spending that on a Veterans Day military parade to stroke his own ego!

Instead of a military parade, let’s have a parade of all the women Trump has sexually assaulted. It would last longer.

i wish trump's vanity military parade was marching tens of millions of dollars into free mental healthcare for veterans

Ooookaaaay…. A parade to honor veterans. And just who is paying for this parade? The very VETERANS you pose as honoring? 🤬

I am a Vet who does not support #CadetBoneSpurs #MilitaryParade in fact every Vet I have talked to thinks it is wrong to have a third world dictator type parade on the day that is marked for honoring Vets. If Trump wants to honor Vets then he could resign. pic.twitter.com/bHUgQ1V7em

Spend the money on Puerto Rico or Anything else that actually matters. Trump needs to quit copying Russia

What a waste of money! Let him spend his own money on his parade if it means so much to him. So many veterans dealing with PTSD deserve mental health care. Shame on you, #45!!
