Trump’s lawyers are reportedly considering legal action to stop 60 Minutes from airing an interview with Stormy Daniels.

At the moment, it is unknown what kind of legal argument the lawyers will use to prevent the airing of the interview.

An unnamed source who identifies themselves a “person familiar with the situation” stated, “We understand from well-placed sources they are preparing to file for a legal injunction to prevent it from airing.”

The interview is scheduled to air on March 18th.

However, CBS has yet to confirm the date. Also, according to a source who talked to The Hill, Daniels will be on the show “on a future date.”

Clifford’s lawyer Michael Avenatti was the first to announce Daniels’ interview with 60 Minutes by tweeting a photo of himself with Daniels and Anderson Cooper.

CNN later revealed that Cooper taped a 60 Minutes segment with Daniels.

The report comes less than a week after Daniels filed a lawsuit against Trump where she argued that Trump never signed the nondisclosure agreement.

This isn’t the first time that Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, tried to stop Clifford’s interview from being published.

In 2011, Cohen intervened to stop In Touch Weekly magazine from publishing Clifford’s interview where she goes into detail about her affair with Trump. Also, just last week, Cohen tried to silence Daniels by obtaining a temporary restraining order.
