According to two sources, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has hired a lawyer.

The sources also added that Bannon plans to “fully cooperate” with the House Intelligence Committee regarding Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Bill Burck, a co-managing partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP’s Washington, D.C., office, will represent him.

Burck is also representing White House Counsel Don McGahn and Reince Priebus, former Chief of staff, for the Russia meddling probe.

Bannon’s decision to lawyer up comes as there is speculation that he might turn on Trump.

Bannon is expected to testify before the House Intelligence Committee next week.

On Thursday, Republican strategist Cheri Jacobus wrote a piece about how she believes Bannon is going to crush Trump since he was the reason Bannon was fired from Breitbart and his Sirius XM radio show.

Trump also convinced the Mercer family to stop funding Bannon.

In the piece, Jacobus wrote, “Bannon and others who “know too much” can be dangerous to a president with a few too many secrets.”

She concluded, “Trump would be wise to heed this advice: Never put anyone in a position where they’ve got nothing left to lose.”

Since Bannon made comments about Trump and his family in the explosive tell-all Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, the two have been on rocky terms.
