On Friday, Republican congressional candidate Paul Nehlen superimposed an image of “Cheddar Man” over Meghan Markle’s face and tweeted it out. This seemed to be a racist attack on Merkle.

Cheddar Man is said to be the oldest complete skeleton dating back 9,000 years that was found in Britain.

According to new DNA analysis, Cheddar Man would have dark skin, blue eyes, and dark, curly hair.

Nehlen is a Trump supporter who is challenging Paul Ryan for his seat. He tweeted the image with a caption that read, “Honey, does this tie make my face look pale?”

Nehlen’s racist tweet quickly received condemnation, including a response from Markle’s Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams.

Adams took to Twitter to call out Nehlen and called him a “sad and sick man with no sense of shame or class.”

Other Twitter users blasted Nehlen for his tweet, calling him a racist and saying they reported his account.

Nehlen responded saying he insisted he was protesting claims that “prove whites never existed.”

He tweeted:

On Monday, Twitter confirmed that Nehlen has been permanently banned “for repeated violations of our terms of service.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Nehlen is described as “a defiant mouthpiece for the racist ‘alt-right.’”
