On Sunday, Wikileaks called on hackers to release Donald Trump’s tax returns.

This came after Kellyanne Conway stated that Trump will not release them.

Wikileaks tweeted:

In a second tweet, Wikileaks used it to blast Trump for not releasing them himself and compared it to being similar to what Hillary did with her Goldman Sachs speech transcripts.

The tweet read:

On ABC’s This Week,” Conway said, “We litigated this all through the election. People didn’t care”

She continued, “They voted for him, and let me make this very clear: most Americans are — are very focused on what their tax returns will look like while President Trump is in office, not what his look like.”

However, her statement is false. In a recent poll by ABC/Washington Post found that 74% of Americans wanted Trump to release his tax returns.

There is also a White House petition urging the White House to “immediately release Donald Trump’s full tax returns, with all information needed to verify emoluments clause compliance.” This petition was created not long after Trump took the oath on Friday. It already has more than 100,000 signatures which the number needed to get a response from the administration.
